28th Annual Ramanath Payyade Memorial Football Tournament

To be Held at Churchgate on Feb 21, 2026

The Karnataka Sporting Association (KSA) will organize the 28th Annual Ramanath Payyade Memorial Football Tournament on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Cross Maidan near Fashion Street, Churchgate, starting from 2:30 PM.

 

The prestigious tournament will be conducted under the leadership of KSA President Dr. P. V. Shetty, who will also chair the program along with other office bearers of the association.

The event will be graced by several prominent community leaders:

  • Harish G. Amin, President, Billawar Association Mumbai

  • Ganesh Kanchan, President, Mogaveera Mahamandala

  • H. Sudhakar, Former President, Chembur Karnataka Sangha

Their presence will add significance to the annual sporting event that continues to strengthen community bonds.

Football enthusiasts can look forward to two exciting matches:

  • 3:00 PM: Karnataka Amateurs vs. Udaya Sports Club

  • 4:00 PM: Billawar Association Mumbai vs. Karnataka Sporting

The tournament has become a much-anticipated fixture in the city’s community sports calendar, promoting sportsmanship and unity among Tulu-Kannadigas.

 

KSA President Dr. P. V. Shetty, Vice President Ravi Anchan, Honorary Secretary Jaya A. Shetty, Secretary Gaurav Payyade, and Treasurer Salvador D’Souza have extended a warm invitation to all Tulu-Kannadigas and football lovers to attend the matches and encourage the participating teams.

 

The organizers expect a strong turnout as the tournament celebrates its 28th edition, continuing the legacy of honoring the memory of Ramanath Payyade through sports and community engagement.
