The School Reopening Ceremony for the academic year 2026-27 was held with great enthusiasm at Shri Narayana Guru Educational Institutions, Padubelle. The campus came alive with joy and excitement as students returned to school after the vacation. Children were warmly welcomed with traditional aarti, floral showers, and sweets.
The ceremony was inaugurated by Shri Umanath A. Kotian, MLA of Mulki-Moodbidri Assembly Constituency. Addressing the students, he conveyed his best wishes for a successful and prosperous academic year. He emphasized that education should extend beyond textbooks and encouraged students to become cultured individuals and responsible citizens who bring pride to their homes, school, and society.
A significant highlight of the event was the handing over of a new school bus by MRPL (Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited) under its CSR initiative. The key of the new bus was formally handed over to the institution by Shri Keshava Patali, Manager, CSR Division, MRPL, Mangalore, strengthening the school’s transportation facilities and enhancing student convenience and safety.
The function was presided over by Shri Harish G. Poojary Kokkarne, Joint Secretary of the Billavar Association, Mumbai.
During the programme, students from both Kannada and English medium sections who secured First, Second, and Third Ranks in the SSLC Board Examination were felicitated for their outstanding academic achievements. The School Management also distributed free notebooks to students of the Kannada Medium section as a gesture of encouragement and support.
Former MESCOM Director Shri Rama Amin Pachanady blessed the students and addressed the gathering, inspiring them to pursue their studies with dedication and discipline.
Among the distinguished guests present were Smt. Jyothi Praveen Poojary, Secretary, Local Office, Borivali, along with Shri Praveen Poojary and Smt. Kusuma Amin.
Members of the School Managing Committee present on the dais included Shri Shivaji Suvarna, Shri Katpadi Shankar Poojary, Shri Prakash Poojary Palame, Shri Sudhakar Poojary, Shri Chandrashekar Kapu, and Shri Suresh Poojary.
The programme commenced with a welcome address by Shri Raghavendra Salian, Headmaster of the English Medium Section. The event was compered by Smt. Veena Nayak and Smt. Deeksha, while Smt. Usha S., Headmistress of the Kannada Medium Section, proposed the vote of thanks.
The reopening ceremony marked a joyful beginning to the new academic year, filled with hope, inspiration, and renewed enthusiasm for learning. The addition of the new school bus further reflects the institution’s commitment to providing better facilities and opportunities for its students.
