We are well aware about the tragic and sad demise of a young girl Miss Sanskruti Amin at Jogeshwari East due to the negligence of the builder, contractor, and supervisor of an under construction building. "Justice for Sanskruti", a movement initiated by The Billawar Association, Mumbai to protest against builders and others for not taking adequate precautions for the safety of people by providing safe and sufficient net cover above the public moving paths and also against BMC officials for not adequately keeping check on the safety measures taken by the builders. In line with this a silent demonstration was organized by the Association on 12/10/2025 at Caves Road, Near Maharaja Bhavan, Majas Wadi, Jogeshwari East.
A major milestone has been achieved as the Change.org petition seeking action against the builder and authorities in Mumbai has crossed 10,000 signatures. This powerful public response strengthens the ongoing “Justice for Sanskruti” movement initiated by The Billawar Association Mumbai.
Reaching 10,000 signatures makes this petition “impossible to ignore.” Citizens are being urged to continue sharing the petition, commenting, and writing to decision-makers to ensure the issue remains in focus.
The Billawar Association emphasizes that this is not only about one tragic loss but about systemic accountability—ensuring safer construction practices and protection for all residents. Association President Harish G. Amin stated, “Hereafter, necessary precautionary measures must be taken by all builders, and authorities should be vigilant to ensure public safety.”
The milestone marks a united community demanding justice, reform, and vigilance—turning grief into action and solidarity. With 10,000 voices strong, the Justice for Sanskruti Amin movement stands as a call for lasting change in Mumbai’s urban safety.
