SHREEGURU NARAYANA YAKSHAGANA MANDALI sponsored by The Billawar Association Mumbai, will stage, Yakshagana Bayalata  prasanga  SEETA SWAYAMWARA on Saturday the 25^thJune 2011 at 6.00 PM 10.00 PM at Shree Narayana Guru Sabhagriha, Billawa Bhavana, Santacruz East, Mumbai.

The Guru Narayana Yakshagana Mandali takes a break during Monsoon. This is the closing act dedicated to all other Associations, Shri.Ayyappa devotee groups, supporters of Yakshagana and the donors who have been patronizing the Mandali all these days.

For the benefit of those who are yet to experience the Yakshagana mela,we would like to highlight here that the Yakshagana is one of the popular folk dance drama format of dakshina kannada. Yakshagana resembles Kathakali in terms of costume and the musical instruments used. Yakshagana is played in both the languages Kannada and  Tulu. Itis a part of rich heritage of coastal belt.
