Shri George Fernandes Sadhaka Award-2012 was given to Shri.Jaya C. Poojary - President of Billawar Association, Mumbai for outstanding social service at a function organized by JaiShreeKrishna Parisara Prema Samiti to celebrate 83rd birth anniversary of Shri.George Fernandes. Awards were given to personalities for their selfless and noticiable service in different fields.

Shri George Fernandes  is an  (ex-) trade unionist, politician, journalist,agriculturist, and member of Rajya Sabha from Bihar. He was the founder of the Samata Party. He has held several ministerial portfolios including communications, industry,  railways and defence. He is a native ofMangalore.

Shri. Mahohar Joshi - one of the prominent leaders of the Shiv Sena political party and the Chief Minister of Maharashtra from 1995-1999, admired Shri.George Fernandes for his selflessness and commended JaiShreeKrishna Parisara Premi Samiti for its activities.
